From a shuffled deck, the magician asks three spectators to each choose a card. After the cards are returned to the deck and thoroughly shuffled, the deck is poured into the Top Hat Table. At the magician's command, the cards inside the hat burst out like a fountain. The magician then thrusts a sword into the airborne cards, and miraculously, the three chosen cards are impaled on the blade! The magician tears the cards from the sword to reveal that they are indeed the spectators' selected cards.
