The magician shows a black case shaped like X, containing five black dice. Each die has a different number on the top face (for example, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5). The magician then asks the audience which number is missing, to which the answer is, of course, 6. The case is closed, and another die is placed in a cup and shaken.
