The magician shows two sheets of thin colored paper, then begins to tear them up. When the torn pieces are crumpled together and then unfolded they transform into a charming paper hat! Children in the audience will be delighted if you give them the hat as a present.
You can also combine this trick with the "PAPER TO TRUNKS #10"(P5142) from the same series. Tell a friend or a child that you're going to make them a hat, but instead, start by transforming the paper into trunks. Then, while saying something like "Oops, I messed up," proceed to perform the THIS trick to finally make the hat. This adds a humorous twist to the routine and makes it even more entertaining.
