The Wild Card," conceived by Dai Vernon.
The performer displays nine cards, out of which eight are identical (for instance, 5 of Clubs). These eight cards are placed one by one on the table. Then, using the remaining one different card (for example, 10 of Hearts), the performer rubs the cards on the table. As a result, each of the 5 of Clubs magically transforms into the 10 of Hearts right before the spectator's eyes, until eventually, all nine cards become the 10 of Hearts.
