This is an easy and fun card packet trick that can be performed in front of a large number of people at parties and on stage. The magician takes out 4 cards and puts them in a hat (or a paper bag, or a box). Say, "I will test the accuracy of your memory. Please memorize the 4 cards I have put in this hat." Take out the cards one by one and have the audience memorize them. Say, "I am going to remove one card" and put 1 card in your pocket. Ask the audience, "What are the 3 remaining cards?" Have the audience say out loud what the 3 cards are. Say, "Sorry, you are all wrong." Take out the three cards from the hat and they have turned into blank cards.
