This is a classic trick created by the late, great Dai Vernon. The magician lays out six cards numbered 1 through 6 on the table, the first with its front up, the second with its back up, the third with its front up, and so on. He writes a prediction on a piece of paper. He takes out a dice. A member of the audience examines it carefully and throws it. A card is selected according to the number shown by the dice. The prediction turns out to say, "A red card will be selected." The selected card is unmistakably a red card. In place of using a dice, the magician can say that he has an invisible dice and have an audience member pretend to throw it; the audience member is then asked to say which number the dice shows. This is a self-working trick and no special technique is required. This is a trick for everyone. (Poker-size - the finest Belgian-made cards) English instructions are included.
